I love old houses.......
This page has many links to information regarding Atlanta's Intown neighborhood architecture, how to get information on historical properties and resources for period materials and renovation information. You can tell a lot about a neighorhood by knowing what style of home was popular during an era and use that to understand the people that lived there. The Craftsman Bungalow style has been the dominant style throughout the years and remains a strong influence today. Most new homes in this market have a definite bungalow feel to them. The Tudor, Colonial and Georgian styles can be found throughout various neighborhoods as well. Anthropology and architecture collide to form a history of Intown Atlanta. If you have any specific questions or comments please send them to us at marc@mdteam.net . If we don't know the answer we may know someone who does.
